Easter Yoga retreat with meditation and wellness in Oxfordshire, 30th March – 2nd April

On our Easter yoga and meditation retreat in Thrupp, Oxfordshire be prepared to switch off, let go and give permission to yourself to totally relax.

It is springtime and at this time of year, the canal comes alive with life after a dormant winter. Stay in our gorgeous manor house and enjoy the peace that the meditation practices bring to you during the silent walk and in the yoga classes, and feel the body loosen and open up with the asana practices, shedding the winter sluggishness in exchange for a more energised and lighter you.

Explore the local surroundings and enjoy being in the countryside away from the frenetic pace of life in your day today. Walk along the canals, into the surrounding countryside or hire a canoe and paddle instead! Enjoy a massage from one of our expert in-house therapists or take time to rest and just be.

This retreat is suitable for anyone who'd like a weekend away with meditation in each yoga class, wellness, and healthy food. You don't have to be practiced at meditation but be willing to sit for longer than 5 minutes. Beginners are welcome as well as all ages.

Yoga

Our Spring yoga classes focus on harnessing the prana of all the new beginnings, life and awakening around us. Allow yourself to shrug off Winter and open yourself to the new possibilities Spring offers!

Morning Yoga
During our strengthening and energising morning classes you can expect: creative flow sequences, core strengthening, pranayama (control of breath) practices, and even experimentation into thai yoga massage and partner yoga. The class will end with a deeply restful and soothing meditation and sivasana that will allow you to take stock, leaving the class lighter and full of vitality (and ready for brunch)!.

Evening Yoga
After a bright and restful day walking in the abundant countryside or treating yourself to a holistic treatment, our restorative yoga sessions are the perfect opportunity to deeply relax and unwind. Allow Tammy to facilitate a deepening and lightening within you, melting away physical and mental tension. Tammy will be teaching a slower class in the evening, with aspects of yin, philosophy and incredible visual meditation, finishing off with an extended yoga nidra and savasana.

Teacher

Tammy is a grounded, inquisitive yet energetic teacher who has an exceptional knowledge of Yoga. Tammy has a passion for many approaches to yoga and has a mindful approach to her classes; she is sensitive to the energies and needs of the group and adapts her style to suit this. Tammy is playful yet knowledgeable; having studied an MA in Yoga Philosophy and Meditation she weaves yoga philosophy into many of her classes. Expect an inquiry into what your body needs in that moment, and to go away feeling lighter and full of energy!

Cuisine

Nutritious and delicious vegetarian food is an integral part of our yoga retreats with an emphasis on warming and nourishing menus. Our food is gently detoxing, is all vegetarian, made without sugar or dairy products and low in wheat and gluten.

There are herbal teas and caffeinated teas/coffee for you to choose, and there’s bread and cow’s milk in the morning if you prefer it, but also soya and almond milk to enjoy.

There are pre yoga snacks to support blood sugar levels. The chef always makes a special porridge for breakfast and there is granola, fruit, yogurt and eggs to enjoy. In the afternoon a wholesome healthy lunch is served and then, after evening yoga, there’s a wonderful 2 course dinner for you.

We bring our own AdventureYogi chefs with us who all have their own individual flair and genius to produce high quality vegetarian dishes. We offer fresh, local, seasonal and nutritious meals.
