If you haven’t visited Montenegro before, you are absolutely in for a treat. Unlike its neighbour Croatia, Montenegro is relatively untouched by tourism but shares the same stunning coastline, scenery and friendly people, we have planned a week for you exploring all that Montenegro has to offer!
Montenegro is half the size of Wales, but in a relatively small area you will be lucky to find an incredible coastline with unspoilt beaches, clear lakes in the national parks for wild swimming, rivers fit for kayaking, and mountains that are begging to be conquered. We can arrange day tours, hiking, cycling and more for you so that you can take in all there is of this incredible country.

As the winter snow melts away in the spring, the mountains take on their summer mantle of bright green grass and colourful alpine flowers. After a long walk reward yourself with a swim to cool off in a refreshing glacial lake. There are so many hikes to choose from, at blue, red or black levels.

If you like outdoor activities this hiking the ”OM” retreat is packed with them—plus some added relaxation, which you will definitely need! The retreat overlooks the Piatra Craiului Mountains, a range in the Southern Carpathians that forms a narrow and saw-like ridge, about 25 km (16 mi) long. The highest elevation in the massif is the “Vârful La Om” at 2,238 metres (7,343 ft): the “OM” peak. We’re going to try to summit the “OM” peak in one day.
This is a challenging and rewarding climb, done at a steady pace with an experienced mountain guide. On your way up you may spot some wildlife! These mountains are quite famous for their incredible scenery—you may have seen them in the movie “Cold Mountain”, which was shot nearby. If it’s good enough for Nicole Kidman, it’s good enough for us!
