Cornwall Wellbeing Guide: Studios & Classes

Serve The Soul Yoga

Serve the Soul Yoga focuses on using yoga to move, explore and enjoy our bodies in ways that make our souls feel good. It’s not about how it looks, it’s about how it feels…and the magic it creates afterwards.

The face behind Serve the Soul Yoga is Robyn Proctor, a Yoga Alliance certified teacher who completed her Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha yoga training in India – the very birth place of yoga. Robyn has since spent time teaching in Sri Lanka and her home here in Cornwall.

Robyn holds regular classes in and around the St Merryn, Padstow area in North Cornwall.

On a Monday morning she teaches a Rise & Shine class from 7-8am at Trevose Golf Club (located at Constantine Bay, Padstow, PL28 8JB). Classes are £10. The class focuses on slowly waking up the body with a moderate Hatha-style flow – the perfect way to start a new week!

On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings Robyn holds classes at The Hub on St Merryn Playing Field (located at St Merryn, Padstow, PL28 8NJ) from 7pm – 8pm and are £8.50 per class.

Tuesday evening is a Surf Yoga class, incorporating various poses in a moderately paced flow to specifically work on the shoulders, back, hips and core. Although aimed at those who spend time in the water, this class is a great all-rounder – you don’t need to be a surfer to join!

Wednesday evening is a Strength Yoga class, using a range of both stretching and strengthening poses in a moderate-to-fast paced vinyasa flow. This class is all about moving mindfully and with control to build strength throughout the whole body.

Robyn also offers private classes providing one-to-one tuition, couple or group sessions at a time and place to suit you. This could be in your own home/ private holiday accommodation, on the beach or in a studio setting near St Merryn. All yoga equipment is provided and all abilities are catered for.
