Description

Our 200-hour YTT is where it all begins. This course offers a robust introduction to the Lakshmi Rising Hatha Vinyasa Flow method in an intensive, transformational environment.

Lakshmi Rising’s YTT encompasses our mission of education, empowerment, and evolution; draws from many traditions; and emphasises more than the physical practice of yoga. We are where sweat, strength, flexibility, and fun meet softness, quiet, introspection, and self-love.

And we work with your schedule! Students can choose from two options: a 21-day immersion intensive or a 14-day immersion intensive followed by supplemental online coursework that can be completed within one year.

Opt for a 21-day intensive, and you’ll be ready to register with Yoga Alliance as soon as you return home. Don’t have that much time? If you choose the 14-day option, you’ll spend two weeks in intensive study in a luxurious environment, then finish the course remotely—at your own pace, and from anywhere.

The Lakshmi Rising Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program is unique, transformative, and highly regarded worldwide. Lakshmi Rising Hatha Vinyasa Yoga is an awareness-based practice that includes fluid, dynamic asana, kriya, pranayama, mantra, meditation, dance, wellness, self-care, and ritual for optimal health and personal growth. Our method is a revitalising approach to develop mindful self-awakening and cultivate strength and flexibility on all levels through the practice of yoga.

We delve into the philosophy of yoga, different styles of meditation, the art of ritual and creating sacred space, ayurveda, anatomy of the physical and energetic bodies, the business of yoga and more. Not only will you deepen your own practice and self awareness, you will come away from this experience with all of the tools necessary to begin teaching and sharing your passion.

Accommodation

Get ready to experience the beauty of the South of France as you embark on your Yoga Teacher Training journey. Our grand 18th-century Château de Rhodes is situated in a newly designated natural park at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, just three kilometers from the village of La Bastide De Serou.

The Department of Ariege nestles in the central Pyrenees, next to Andorra, its highest peaks visible from Toulouse. It is one of the most unspoiled regions of France, whose inhabitants have held fast to their traditions. The countryside is wild but easily accessible.

Top grade trout streams rush down forested mountainsides into rivers where kayakers paddle. Waymarked walking trails lead to 3000 metres peaks where isards (chamois), marmots and even bears roam. Cyclists can take in a stage of the Tour de France, mountain bike down tracks or gently pedal in the valleys.

Numerous species of butterflies, orchids and raptors thrive here thanks to the endurance of ancient farming practices such as the transhumance, when cows, sheep and Mérens horses are led up to the high summer pastures.

Its many prehistoric caves, Cathar chateaux and WWII escape routes over the mountains are testament to the ways Ariège has served as a place of refuge and resistance throughout history.

Your yoga (or culinary) experience will be intense, but Château de Rhodes is filled with 18th and 19th century antiques, and Persian rugs, the château will create incredible memories for all who stay here. There are two very large reception rooms, chateau dining room, library, billiard room, games rooms, terrace dining-room for thirty plus, cinema room, original chateau kitchen, plus a fully equipped professional kitchen.

There are outside dining tables and chairs for 30+ and sun beds, shades, etc. Around the pool and terrace. The grounds are encircled by a tranquil walking path, and are accentuated by both a river and a stream. There are many ancient trees in the well-tended landscape.

From the terrace one can hear the soft flowing arize river which meanders through the château’s park. From the sparkling swimming pool are dramatic views of the Pyrenees. Tennis buffs will be thrilled with the hard tennis court. An antique snooker/ pool table is available indoors, plus a further games room and exercise room which will definitely appeal to the younger set. Just a five-minute drive away is a challenging eighteen-hole golf course.

Excursions

As a part of our personal growth and wellness element of the training, we have some delightful cultural excursions planned for you!

N°5 wine bar

N°5 Wine Bar was voted best European wine bar (2016-2017-2018) and best wine bar in the world (2017 & 2018). Located in Toulouse, it is a place to live a unique sensory and gustatory experience of wine and around wine. We will meet there the first day, participate in an oenological presentation, wine tasting as well as a vegetarian platter tasting.

Vineyard domain Herrebouc

We have the honour to visit a Winemaker Domain. Far from any notion of productivity or virtuosity, the approach of the domain is part of respect for nature and the vine. Closest to the very nature of what has made the profession of winemaker over the past centuries, this family winemaker do not to use herbicides, not to make “green harvests” or to mechanically weed, these choices allow it to predict an evolution towards organic and natural wines in the medium term.

These choices are accompanied by a requirement of constant quality at each stage of the wine making, because if the manner is important, all these efforts would be useless if the taste and qualities of the different wines produced were not the appointment. We will have the great opportunity to have a wine tasting with 8 different wine flowing by a vegetarian lunch in the property.

Day-trip to Toulouse

It’s a free day when you can have the opportunity to discovered the Pink City” (La Ville Rose). The never-ending list of culinary specialties, the cool vibe of the people and the beautiful architecture make this a gorgeous and exciting city. La cité de l’espace, Toulouse is known for being Europe’s space capital so you won’t want to miss the opportunity to conquer space for a day at the Cité de l’Espace.

See the majestic Place du Capitole. The Place du Capitole is probably the most photographed attraction in Toulouse. Walk around beautiful gardens. Toulouse is an ideal city for nature lovers.

An unexpected heritage. Boasting 2,000 years of history, the Ville Rose is home to numerous treasures, major monuments or little- known gems that can be discovered in the narrow streets and small squares, religious buildings and a wealth of mansion houses.

Les Thermes de Luchons

The one and only natural hammam in Europe, a magical place to discover! Take the underground galleries to take a real natural steam bath, where the thermal water, which filters through the walls, creates a soft and humid heat between 38 ° c and 42 ° c. The Vaporarium is ideal for weight balance, skin cleansing, muscle relaxation and the elimination of toxins.

Samatan outdoor market

You will have the unique opportunity to visit a typical market in the city of Toulouse, seasonal fruits and vegetables, typical products of the country, flowers, clothes.

A unique moment for a culture bath. We invite you to come and meet the farmers at their home, on the farm labeled ‘Welcome to the Farm’: they will make you discover their know-how and the variety of services they offer: welcome, entertainment, leisure and activities for your children, meals at a farmhouse, direct sale of local products. The products sold are varied.
