On our autumn recharge yoga retreat Oxfordshire, be prepared to switch off, let go and give permission to yourself to totally relax.
Retreat to the Oxfordshire countryside and escape for the weekend on our autumn recharge yoga retreat. Our Bicester yoga retreat venue is well loved by our guests for its grand, yet incredibly homely feel.
Autumn is the ideal time to go on a yoga weekend, as it is the changing of the seasons, time to go inwards and to nourish body and mind in preparation for winter. And, you don’t need an excuse to curl up with a good book by the open fire!
We have been running our retreats at this venue for 10 years and it is a home from home for us and our return guests. Enjoy first class yoga teaching from our well loved teacher Amy Williams – read more about her below. Relax with hatha yoga, yin yoga and yoga nidra, as well as meditation and breathwork.
Enjoy incredible meals lovingly prepared by our talented chefs and served as a community, optional holistic treatments to soothe your body and guided walks of the local countryside; you are guaranteed to leave feeling energised, a little lighter, and grateful to yourself for taking some time away.
Our accommodation is a beautiful family owned stately home that has been refurbished to a beautiful standard, staying in keeping with its original features. There are no en-suite bedrooms because of this.
There are 10 bedrooms and 7 are twin or double rooms, 1 small single room and 2 large single or double rooms for one person or a couple or two friends sharing. There are 6 shared bathrooms. 3 have baths, 1 has a bath and a shower and 2 of them are dedicated shower rooms.
The rooms have a sumptuous, classic feel so you will feel spoilt. Yet it also feels homely so you can completely relax and switch off. They are all spacious, luxuriously decorated in amazing fabrics and have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
The house has a huge welcoming lounge with cosy sofas and an open fire. The dining room is light and airy with fabulous views of the grounds. There are fascinating paintings and fresh flowers everywhere.
There are a lot of spaces to relax on your own, the living area, the library, the dining room and all rooms are spacious and some have sofas in for ultimate cosiness.
On our autumn recharge yoga wellness retreat, Bicester, the classes are suitable for all abilities, from beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. We have a range of inspiring and experienced teachers who are well practised at adapting the class for everyone’s level.
Whether it be Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin or others, all classes cover pranayama, asanas and meditation to help increase oxygen flow, balance, clarity and to promote a peaceful mind. Morning sessions are a more dynamic practice and the evening sessions are gentle with lots of stretches, meditation and relaxation.
We believe that our retreats should be nurturing in every way. So our Vitality Chefs will create tasty, healthy, vegetarian meals for you from local, seasonal produce. All of our food is gently detoxing and we cater to various dietary preferences.
Our guests are always impressed by our creative, flavoursome dishes — that’s because the food is just as important to us as the yoga. For the new year we indulge in a 4-course supper with mocktails and canapes for that extra special evening. We bring our own chefs with us who all have their own individual flair and genius to produce high-quality vegetarian dishes. We offer fresh, local, seasonal and nutritious meals.
On our Bicester wellness yoga retreat, they all begin at 4pm with time to settle in before the first yoga class at 6pm. Dinner will be served at 8.00pm. The retreat ends at 3pm on the Sunday and for 3 night retreats they finish at 12pm on the final day.

8 am: Silent walk in the tranquil surrounding countryside before yoga
8.30am – 10.30am: Morning yoga & meditation class
10.30am: Brunch served of wholesome warming foods and teas
11 am – 5 pm: Free time for walking, 1:1’s, treatments or just relax
2.30pm: Hearty and warming lunch
5.30pm – 7.30pm: Evening yoga & meditation class
7.30pm: Delicious Vegetarian Dinner
10 pm: Bedtime!
We base our prices on two people sharing a room. If you are coming on your own, you are welcome to share a twin room with another guest of the same sex, or pay £150 single supplement to have your own room.

How to get here
We are near Bicester in Oxfordshire. It takes about 1 hour drive from London. Once you have booked your place with us we will give you the exact address and postcode.
From London Marylebone station to Bicester North it takes 1hr. Book early for cheaper tickets. It is a comfortable, fast service with no changes. For those coming from other directions please time your train to arrive and depart around the same time as the recommended trains from London so that we can organise taxi share. The retreat is only 15 minutes away and costs about £12-£20 depending on the day (bank holidays are more expensive). We try and group you together to make the taxi a lower cost for you.
