Bank Holiday Yoga and Hiking Retreat

Join us for a special August bank holiday yoga weekend stay in luxurious manor house accommodation, invigorate with a guided hike in the national park and revive with dynamic and energising summer yoga.

Get out of the city or urban town and immerse yourself in the wilds of the Brecon Beacons national park. Breathe the clean air, experience gorgeous scenery and feel your body come alive with the prana of the area.

The retreat ends on Sunday at 4pm so choose to relax or be more active. Try canoeing, more hiking, biking or horse riding, or just relax with a soothing massage and enjoy the grounds and retreat.

Yoga

Classes on our bank holiday yoga are suitable for all abilities, from beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. We have a range of inspiring and experienced teachers who are well practised at adapting the class for everyone’s level.

Whether it be Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin or others, all classes cover pranayama, asanas and meditation to help increase oxygen flow, balance, clarity and to promote a peaceful mind.

Morning sessions are a more dynamic practice and the evening sessions are gentle with lots of stretches, meditation and relaxation.

Cuisine

Nutritious and delicious vegetarian food is an integral part of our bank holiday yoga retreats. Our food is gently detoxing, is all vegetarian, made without sugar or dairy products and low in wheat and gluten.

Herbal teas and caffeinated teas/coffee are there for you to choose, and there’s bread and cow’s milk in the morning if you prefer it, but also soya and almond milk to enjoy.

There are pre yoga snacks to support blood sugar levels. The chef always makes a special porridge for breakfast and there is granola, fruit, yogurt and eggs to enjoy. In the afternoon a wholesome healthy lunch is served and then, after evening yoga, there’s a wonderful 2 course dinner for you.

We bring our ownchefs with us who all have their own individual flair and genius to produce high quality vegetarian dishes. We offer fresh, local, seasonal and nutritious meals.

Accommodation

Our Brecon Beacons bank holiday yoga retreat home is a family owned Georgian manor and cottages set in a secluded valley deep in the heart of the Brecon Beacons national park:

All of our spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and are provided with plenty of large, fluffy towels, soaps, shampoos and hair-dryer.

Retreat schedule

7.30am – Hot lemon and ginger and protein snacks pre-yoga.

8am – Silent walk in the tranquil surrounding countryside before yoga.

8.30am – 10.30am – Morning yoga & meditation class.

10.30am – Brunch served of wholesome warming foods and teas.

11am – 5pm – Free time for walking, workshops, 1:1’s, treatments or just relax.

2.30pm – Hearty and warming lunch.

5.30pm – 7.30pm – Evening yoga & meditation class.

7.30pm – Delicious Vegetarian Dinner.

10pm – Bedtime!

We base our prices on 2 or 3 people sharing a room. You are welcome to share a twin or triple room with another guest of the same sex. If you would prefer your own room, there is a £150 single supplement.

Our own highly experienced therapists are on hand to soothe away your aches and pains. Choose from an array of wonderful different massages, facials, Reiki, depending on your retreat and therapists available.

By Car
We will give you directions in the welcome letter once you book. The retreat 30 minutes from Abergavenny, 40 minutes from Hereford and 20 minutes from Builth Wells.

Car share
To do our bit for the environment we encourage car share with guests. Once you have booked onto the retreat we ask those of you who are driving to offer a seat for someone who may have otherwise travelled by train. This alleviates our carbon footprint and makes it more fun for everyone.
