Breathe from The Soul is Yobaba Lounge’s signature retreat format by its founder, Gertrud Keazor, which has gained international acclaim – 5 days exploring an inspirational practice of Embodied Mediation, daily periods of silence and glorious vegan food, in a hip, Boho village chateau in the South of France.

We will look after all your practical needs whilst you spend time reconnecting with yourself. We include daily sessions of gentle, soulful yoga and meditation support you in your journey back to your centre.

Gertrud shares philosophies, science and yogic mindfulness practices that have the power to shift your paradigm.

This retreat is suitable for those who need a break, who are exhausted and burnt out, as well as those who already have a yoga practice but are looking for something deeper and more soulful. It is suitable for those new to yoga as well as those who are already proficient.

Embodied Meditation is a yogic mindfulness practice and offers a way to explore mindfulness in a somatic and experiential way, using breath, movement, visualisation and sound. It leads to transformative experiences without excessive effort and is a simple way of practicing emotional, physical and mental hygiene and self-care.

The result is that we become ever more familiar with our inner, often sub-conscious landscape; we start to feel calm, we naturally slow down, and we naturally feel more vibrant and truly ourselves – the definition of mental and physical health.

Teacher & Host


Gertrud Keazor is your teacher on this Yoga, Mindfulness and Embodied Meditation Retreat. She has been practicing the healing arts for almost 30 years. She has been hosting these retreats to international acclaim since 2013.

She is a qualified massage therapist and Reiki practitioner. Her practice of Embodied Meditation is deeply rooted in the ancient Tantric wisdom sciences of the East. She uses mindfulness, breath (Ujjayi) and movement (common Hatha postures) to bring awareness to the inner space and physical and emotional edges. Gertrud’s aim is to support retreat guests in listening to their own bodies and to becoming familiar with how to use mindfulness to enhance their daily yoga practice.


The vegan food is at the heart of the embodied mediation retreat. It is beautiful, satisfying and incredibly tasty. Without sugar, dairy, gluten or meats, this diet is easy on the digestion, and assists the cleansing process. A cook book is under way.

Known for its chic, bohemian style, this beautiful nineteenth-century village chateau has the feel of a vast, ancient temple with large, stylish rooms.

There are original wooden floors, large fireplaces, elegant balconies, tall ceilings and windows, a large walled-garden and a stunning yoga shala overlooking the medieval rooftops. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and uncluttered, mixing ethnic artefacts with classical French features in Gertrud’s inimitable décor style.

You will enjoy a peaceful nights sleep with no noise disturbances and can gave at the starry sky at night due to having no light pollution.

• Airport transfers are not included, but we will assist in liaison between guests to arrange shared taxis to and from point of arrival and departure. Price guideline for airport transfer: Toulouse £80 each way. Approx 1 1/2 hour, or Carcassonne £45 each way. Approx 50 minutes.
