Hidden away in the West Yorkshire countryside and surrounded by farmers’ fields is Manor Farm Spa. With two quirky chalets to stay in, an array of treatments available to fit around your schedule, and a selection of fine local food and drink options to choose from – this truly is the ideal escape to relax and unwind.
The spa is limited to eight guests to ensure those staying are always attended to. And they only ever take bookings for one group. So no matter the size of your group, you have the entire premises to yourself.
After checking in, you will be taken to one of the chalets – The Bee or The Dragonfly. Inside, each has been lovingly decorated and furnished to mix rural charm with a luxurious touch.
Settle down in a comfy armchair in front of the wood burning stove with a glass of fizz or a good book in the accompanying sitting room. Then get a restful night’s sleep in one of the beautiful bedrooms.
A robe and slippers are provided upon arrival and guests are free to use the hot tub with spectacular views while they wait for their treatments to begin. Those who have added the full length spa treatment to their stay will then be guided to one of the treatment rooms and truly pampered.
The schedule is built around your requirements, so it always fits in with you. There are three different types of massage – aromatherapy, hot stone, and Swedish – to choose from, as well as exfoliation, facial, and the ancient Japanese practice of Reiki. A complimentary mini treatment is also included.
Now truly relaxed, if those staying have chosen to have dinner, this is homemade and will be prepared at Manor Farm Cottage using locally sourced ingredients, before being served to you. Tea and coffee is always available throughout your stay, as is fruit infused water. Afternoon tea can also be ordered for those who desire it, while a local market breakfast can be provided as part of your trip.
While there is little reason to leave Manor Farm Spa, there are places of interest nearby. Located in the village of Thorpe Audlin close to Pontefract, history lovers can visit Pontefract and Sandal Castles. There are plenty of walks in the countryside to discover as well, broken up by a visit to a country pub.
