Our Discover Nepal Yoga itinerary has a heavy focus on development through sustainable travel.

Nepal is an incredible country with a number of infrastructural challenges especially in regards to the environment. We work with local partners that have an eye toward eco conservation and protection of the landscape, especially in regards to the trekking portion of our trip.

Our tour guide has keep knowledge of the achievements and challenges, history and culture of Nepal and provides in-depth perspective and context as we learn about the unique place we’re visiting.

Nepal is incredible on the senses, with incense and oms at every turn. We’ll then take a domestic flight to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, and bike around the temple complex before an afternoon tea time with local monks to learn more about Buddhist philosophy.

From there we’ll head to the Annapurna mountain range, basing out of the beautiful city of Pokhara.

You’ll have time to explore its many sites before we go on a 3-day trek in the mountains. The hikes will be for around 6 hours per day on moderate terrain enjoying the local villages, vistas and cool mountain air.

We’ll stay in teahouses run by Tibetans and enjoy masala chai under the skies. After we descend, we’ll recover in Pokhara with its many spa options and traditional massages before our final leg of the trip, a two-night yoga retreat in the hills above Kathmandu.

Activities include an Ayurvedic workshop, spa day and many opportunities for yoga. The trip will end back in Kathmandu.

Our September itinerary is enhanced with two daily yoga throughout the trip, lead by Austin instructor Gigi Mao.  Gigi has been a devoted practitioner of yoga for more than a decade and teaches alignment-based flow.

Her classes are strong and focused while supportive and introspective. Gigi has led yoga retreats in Mexico, Costa Rica and Nicaragua and has traveled extensively in Asia, Europe and Africa.

Gigi believes that both yoga and travel are a means of connection and is passionate about creating spaces for adventure and growth.

Our group is limited to 9 people, and bookings are based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for an additional fee.
