Finca Parrilla surrounded by a large “Alhambra Garden”, overlooks the Natural Park and the Mediterranean sea, with small fountains, orange trees, apricots, mangoes, figs, olives and a small vineyard, providing the perfect setting for tranquility.
The Finca is a property, offering a combination of elegant accommodation and beautiful surroundings. It consists of two houses, lovely rooms, a swimming pool, yoga facilities and a small Maria Chapel for silence and meditation.
We will hike every day in the beautiful mountains of Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama, located in the province of Malaga / Granada. The Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park is a mountain group filled with mountain peaks, streams, rivers, beaches, trails and cart roads.
From the coast of the Mediterranean, the mountains break up to the horizon with a spectacular array of peaks reaching up to 1500 meters above sea level. Here is lush nature with a unique plant kingdom. On many of the tours you can see the white medieval villages and the blue Mediterranean as far as the eye can see.
The hikes take place in ancient historical landscapes and on these mountain paths and country roads people have throughout history brought fish from the coast to the fish market in Granada. The hillsides are covered with aromatic plants such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, sage, lemon thyme, mint and lavender, and there are great opportunities for us to meet mules, donkeys and goats on our way.
We start our walks every morning from Finca Parrilla and get back for a delicious lunch in the garden patio.
When the program is complete, guests have walked 4-6 miles, practiced yoga every day, relaxed and taken in the healing effects of nature on the body and soul. Guests travel home with inspiration and better health!
The trip is suitable for those who are in good physical shape and enjoy an active and experiential holiday. It is required that you have experience walking in hilly and rugged terrain with ascent. Not suitable for beginners or if you are very scared of heights.
Nothing is like doing yoga in the open air. The breath becomes free, the perspective becomes larger and one can feel that the body is filled with life energy. Yoga is suitable for everyone regardless of age and physical form and you do not need to have experience with yoga before. Here you work on your own level and with your own starting point. We explain the exercises clearly and adapt to your individual needs.
The practice will be inspired by Ashtanga and Hata yoga. We will work through the whole body. In the end of the practice, you will be invited to a guided relaxation to release tension.

Visit Granada & Alhambra (8 hours)
Join us on an excursion to Granada and Alhambra. Starting off visiting Alhambra, the 13th century old palace and gardens are among the finest Islamic constructions in the world.
Set on the footsteps of the Sierra Nevada peaks, it is a true jewel. Next up, we explore the old Arabic architecture and narrow streets of Granada (Albaicín), filled with tapas bars and Spanish/Moorish culture. Finishing off with a delicious lunch overlooking the beautiful views of Alhambra and the old city of Granada, it will leave you wanting to come back again and again.
• Price: 180€ per person, 10 hours, minimum 4 people. The excursion is not included in the price and is paid upon registration.
John is our local mountain guide who takes us into the mountains. He is well known in the mountains of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama, and a very knowledgeable guide. John picks us up every morning in his old minibus and drives us to the starting point of the trip. His local knowledge enriches the trips with stories and history.
Pernille is our fantastic Danish yoga instructor and well experienced yoga teacher. Pernille will add yoga classes according to what suits the group. Yoga is suitable for everyone regardless of age and physical shape and you do not need to be soft or have experience with yoga before, here you work at your own level and with your own starting point.
A culinary experience of Spanish cuisine. Inspired by nature, our organic, plant-based cuisine is a highlight for our guests and a key component of our approach to health and wellness.
With this in mind, our Spanish chef has developed Mediterranean specialties with ingredients from local organic producers in the area. Our chef has been working for us for several years and she is really passionate about vegetarian food.
These healthy meals fuels your active days and builds a healthier mind and body. The menu is seasonal, combined with fruits and herbs from our own garden which is a great inspiration.

Frigiliana, Andalucia, Spain. Malaga airport is the nearest airport. The retreat center is 40 min. from the airport. Free transport from and to the airport in Malaga, if you arrive at the specified time of arrival.
Those who arrive sooner or later must get to Parrilla in their own taxi. (About € 95 a way)
