Treat yourself to a retreat in beautiful nature, with breathtaking views between the sea and the mountains. Go hiking with experienced guides along meandering mountain paths and ancient hidden trails with lots of history and few tourists.

You’ll see a variety of flora and fauna depending on the season, the one constant will be the curious and always hungry tortoises which inhabit all four mountains.

We are located amid the raw, wild beauty of Dikastika, very close to the historic Marathon. Come and experience the true spirit of Greece, the wild olive trees perched along the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean sea, the sweet smell of Jasmine and the explosion of colour from the beautiful bougainvilleas that embellish the landscape.

Our programme is based on studies of Blue Zone where it has been proven that people live healthier, longer and more active lives.

Blue Zone is a term given to geographic regions where people have shown to live longer, and have lower rates of disease than anywhere else. One of the Blue Zones is found on Ikaria, an island in Greece. All our hikes of are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Dikastika will enchant you by transporting you through its unspoiled beauty, rural scenery and historical monuments to a glorious past. Indulge in pure luxury at this wonderful traditional villa with panoramic views on the sea from every room.

Located very close to Marathon (yes 26 miles from Athens!) the area is rich in history… from the famous battle of the Greeks versus Persians, the birthplace of the Marathon and you can even still visit the city of Rhamnous, a well preserved and ancient citadel dating from 400BC. We pick up and drop off all guests at the airport.

You will be accommodated in a beautiful villa on the Aegean Sea. It is about 45 minutes from Athens International Airport (ATH).

What past guests have said

”If you are into healthy living,  this retreat is seriously heaven on earth.  Note how I said, “into healthy living”.  This retreat is not only for the people who are already doing all the right things (eating correctly, daily yoga and fitness), but also for those who want to veer in that direction.  People like me!

I spent one week living there and didn’t want to leave.  Simply put, it was living the best version of life I can imagine.” J.C. – United States

” I have just returned from a short weekend retreat. I was promised home cooked food, 3 hour hikes daily, and alternating yoga/fitness training by my hosts.

What I actually got was the most delicious vegan/veggie food I have ever tasted. Breakfast lunch and dinner was something I really looked forward to. One day lunch was served at an old working farm and our final day we had lunch at a traditional beach side taverna so close to the shore we actually swam as lunch was being prepared.

I had never been on a hike before and was totally blown away by the variety of hikes, the knowledge of the guide and the fact that you didn’t have to be super fit to enjoy the best 3 hours of the day.
And now the final part!! Yes. the work outs !! and the yoga!!

I wasn’t looking forward to this part, but I have to say the instruction on the body movements and particularly for the muscles that we were about to use for the hikes was amazing and very inspiring. So much so that since I have been back, I have stretched every single day. The yoga was fun and very lighthearted, and I wish I was there and would continue with this teacher. All round very enjoyable, It was ME time and so glad I went, it was totally stress free and self-indulgent!” S.P. – United Kingdom
