The cheery coral walls of this vacation rental are at home on a private lot lush with flowering shrubs and olive trees. Terraced outdoor living spaces facing the sea invite you to wander from a deck with lounging and dining areas, a barbecue and a glass railing to the infinity pool on the lower level. (Guests with mobility issues can take the villa’s elevator instead of the exterior stairs to navigate.) The name of Villa Miramar translates to “sea view,” and the property delivers its vista through several sets of fold-back glass doors in the open-plan great room. Watch the sunlight glimmer on the waves from the tuxedo-style sofa or Barcelona lounge chair in the sitting area, or read in the light of the arc lamp at night. A minimalist blond-wood desk separates the sofa from the dining area, where a set of Tulip chairs and table turn every meal into an occasion. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped and shows off its own design chops with stainless steel appliances and pared-down white countertops and cabinets.

You could easily spend your stay watching the yachts and fishing boats in the Baie de Villefranche below. For a more glamorous day out, drive to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat for a look at the historic villas, a stroll on the beach or a honeymoon-worthy dinner at an oceanfront restaurant. Monte Carlo and Nice are also close enough to Villa Miramar for a day trip—if you can tear yourself away.
