Luxury Yoga & Art Creativity Retreat, Marrakech 24th February – 2nd March
Luxury Yoga & Art Creativity Retreat, Marrakech
We are so excited about this special collaboration and enhancement to our Marrakech retreat featuring Julian Hyzler from EASEL&LENS to combine a look at creative focus with travel-journal creation classes throughout the week.
Yoga and meditation classes will be held daily to prepare our bodies and minds to find the ‘calm in the chaos’ of the sensory-overload that is Morocco – and then these art projects will help us find news ways of seeing – both yoga and art working together to find FOCUS in the many layers of smells, sites, and sounds that abound in exotic Marrakech.
All levels are welcome, and participation is voluntary. Projects and classes will be offered as a completely exploratory, unintimidating and personal experience.
This retreat is part of our GIVE BACK initiative, where EPM will donate at least 10% of profits to a humanitarian partner in the community where each retreat is held. Our partner in Marrakech is Project Sora who works with underprivileged communities and young women to empower with design, clean-up projects, and creative ventures.
A daily meditation and yoga class will be offered at the start of the day in a way to relax, stimulate, and help guests grow in their own personal practice.
Classes are open to all levels, beginner to practiced, and can range from gentle, restorative, and more vigorous vinyasa flow and ashtanga styles.
Style and class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students’ needs, and with a small intimate retreat class size, students will be able to get personalized attention and comfortability to deeply explore their practice.
– Guided Shopping Tour of the souks of Marrakesh
– Visits to sites in Marrakesh Medina (Ben Yossef, walking tour)0
– Visit to Atlas Mountains and Kasbah Tamadot Retreat (mule trek, chef’s tasting menu + wine pairing)
– Le Bains de Marrakesh Spa Day
Certified yoga instructor Erin Lewis, will facilitate the classes, helping each student focus on improving their practice and gaining new insights into their bodies and movements. She’s studied various types of yoga disciplines since 1998, concentrating on the Ashtanga discipline since 2008.
She received her teacher certification in Florence, Italy and has continued her education with various specialty certifications throughout the years. She now combines powerful movements with more anatomical-based core vinyasa flow and restorative movement in her personal practice and teaching style.
Healthful, vegetarian food is part of the retreat experience, including daily breakfast, and selected lunches and dinners either hosted at Peacock Pavilions or out and about in town. The cuisine is simple, delicious and Moroccan, using fresh ingredients from the on-site organic gardens or local markets.
Selection may include tempting dishes and libations like stuffed dates, almond couscous, vegetable terrine, avocado dip, leek tarts, mint tea, pomegranate martini, rose water, and more. Selection is seasonal, and you can guarantee to love and appreciate each bite.
We’ll also be enjoying a chef tasting lunch and wine pairing during one of the day trips, as well as a henna party during lunch, and an evening tea + snack session in the olive grove one night in the outdoor cinema.
This fantastic yoga retreat will take place at the fabulous Peacock Pavilions boutique hotel. Located in Marrakesh on 8.5 acres of land, including 5 acres of olive grove, this stylish and eco-friendly abode has been featured in worldwide publications, including National Geographic Traveler.
Breathtakingly beautiful and luxuriously designed, the living quarters where guests will stay during the retreat features gorgeous fireplaces and a glamorous bathrooms in each room. Each bedroom also has its own private terrace – “just the right place to enjoy a minty tea or a zingy cocktail”.
The entire pavilion property has been decorated with care and “loaded with art, special fabrics, and exotic good stuff from all around the world. A swanky place to relax, the salon/great room has a stunning lacy plasterwork that took weeks to complete. There is also seating and dining areas for intimate discussions and cozy meals.
A spiral staircase leads to a catwalk high in the air, where you can sit on vintage embroideries and admire the view.” Not only is this place gorgeous, but it’s also eco-friendly.
Observing “green” building and gardening techniques, you’ll feel good about the organic bounty served to your plate, and the hot water you use heated by the solar panels! Spend some free time at the lovely, inviting pool and patio, or join us for a henna and cocktail party in the painted tent, or perhaps an outdoor cinema night on the lawn.

What past guests have said
“Deciding to finally live my dream and go to Morrocco, when finding this Luxury Marrakesh package I was immediately SOLD! Erin did an outstanding job to really deliver a luxury retreat without missing a beat! Her knack for style, taste, and overall experience is bang on! I just wish it never ended!! From the food selections to the markets, hotels, spas, wine tasting, mule treks and yoga (of course), it was all around exceptional. She has created the ultimate experience, and I look forward to adding another one of her retreats to my list! Thank you, Erin for a life altering experience that I will always cherish!.” Danielle – Toronto, Canada
“Erin, you’ve made us appreciate yoga, traveling and eating well to another level. And not to mention the friendships we’ve made. Thank you…thank you…Can’t wait to see you AGAIN!!!”. Elizabeth – California, USA
“The Marrakesh retreat was like a dream. Every detail from the warm welcome to the departure lunch was fabulous and so thoughtful. Erin’s wonderful personality along with all the women in our group created a beautiful energy full of fun, adventure and inspiration. Everyday there were new activities, treasures to see at Peacock Pavillions, yoga postures and beautiful table settings in the stunning dinning tent. Along with Erin, Maryam and Chris were so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Peacock Pavilions was an amazing and perfect setting for EPM. Thanks so much Erin – my mom and I had a fantastic week and we look forward to another one…maybe Italy next.” Michele – Vancouver, Canada
“I have always had a love of travel and a spirit of adventure, but as an almost 69-year old single woman, I believed my opportunities were limited and tame. I signed up for the September trip to Marrakech and it was one of the finest travel experiences of my life. The accommodations were beautiful. The service. wonderful, The feeling of family and good friends surrounded us. Instead of being in a hotel, with the usual hotel culture, I was able to experience a true Moroccan lifestyle, including delicious food served on a delightful porch near the beautiful pool during the day and in a picturesque tent in the evening. The activities were fabulous: walking around in the walled old city with shopping galore, going on a day trip to a beach town, including riding a camel, (I fantasized being Lawrence of Arabia) and dining in exceptional Marrakech restaurants. We received henna treatments and spent an afternoon at a spa. Of course, there was yoga and meditation every day, too. It was a wonderful, exciting and affordable trip. I can’t wait to see next year’s schedule!.” Bonnie – Pennsylvania, USA
