Mother Earth Vegan Hotel is Costa Rica’s first luxury vegan boutique hotel. Tucked away in a residential neighbourhood just minutes from stunning Tamarindo beach, a popular holiday destination for beaches and surfing.
The family-run vegan hotel features 13 spacious rooms with modern interiors, private terraces and each room has a unique energy painting created by the owner’s son.
The hotel features a natural saltwater pool, a rooftop yoga and healing studio and offers an array of wellness services from yoga, to massage, reiki and sound healing.
Experience delicious plant-based cuisine al fresco from their poolside restaurant – Off the Grid, serving a seasonal globally-inspired menu designed to let mother earth’s ingredients shine through with all of its exciting tastes, vibrant colors and delicious flavors.
With a strong commitment to sustainability the hotel is powered by solar energy and has a water conservation system that recycles grey water into clean water for irrigation. The environment comes first in every decision made – from the cleaning products used through to the ban of plastic water bottles.

Playa Tamarindo
Famous for its pristine coastline and beautiful beaches, Playa Tamarindo is a small beach town full of life. Mother Earth Vegan Hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood but still close enough to all of the restaurant, shops, bars, and beach. We are a 0.5km walk to the beach or a 3-minute drive and there is plenty of free ocean front parking on the street.
Accommodation
Each of our 14 guest rooms has been thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort and charm, in a timeless decor inspired by the elements of Mother Earth. Each room features high quality mattresses and luxury bed linens, separate work desks and luxurious bathrooms with our organic amenities by RAW Botanicals.
Private outdoor balconies overlooking the tropical landscape adds to the light and airiness of the room and the organic forms and simple design reflect a sense of nature. All of our rooms individually feature an energy painting created by our resident artist. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s delicious food served all day at our poolside restaurant.

Friendly Doubles – Our Premium Double is ideal for friends or families travelling together, they feature a spacious layout that will ensure you have an extra comfortable stay.
Queen ADA – We have one extra spacious room designed for guests with special needs. Our Accessible Room has a wheelchair entrance and an extra-large ADA roll-in shower, specialized bathroom facilities and roll on balcony access.

Our rooftop yoga + healing studio is the perfect place to rebalance your body, mind and spirit. Our studio is located in the main house on the third floor with a view overlooking all of Tamarindo.
Soon we will begin providing classes in nearly every mode of yoga, along with restorative therapies such as Reiki, massage, and meditation workshops. Our program will cater to all levels and will be open to our guests and visitors. Each class pass includes all necessary equipment and a complimentary energising juice shot.
