Description

Would you like to start 2022 with more bliss, creativity, detox, energy, focus and immunity? On this intimate retreat in Puglia we offer five nights in a beautiful restored masseria, delicious and nutritious food, health shots, yoga classes with sound bowls, a plant-based cooking class, a cacao ceremony and optional massages, surf and SUP classes.

There are some very good reasons why everyone seems to be going to Puglia right now. The heel of Italy’s boot combines fairytale landscapes with trulli, whitewashed towns, olive groves on red soil and interesting architecture.

Our house is not far away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Punta Prosciutto on the Ionian Sea, baroque city Lecce and the rocky plunge pools with crystal clear water of the Adriatic sea. Let yourself be inspired by the Apulians, masters at living life in the slow lane and enjoying the small pleasures in life.

This is an all levels yoga retreat; all ages, couples, friends, family and solo travelers are welcome. Most of the food will be plant-based cuisine with local fruit and vegetables from nearby gardens. We can accommodate most special food requests. If you’re looking for a small retreat nestled in nature nearby the ocean than this one is for you.

Venue

We are staying in an elegant and homely masseria surrounded by vineyards and olive trees in a small town called Salice Salento. The house has six spacious rooms, each with their own bathroom, underfloor heating, king size beds and fine cotton linens.

We share our meals in the large kitchen and the yoga classes will take place in a separate in  or outdoor space depending on the weather. For this retreat we can host up to 12 guests.

Cuisine

Puglia is a vegetarian food heaven with sun-ripened vegetables and fruits, pulses, orecchiette and the birthplace of burrata. The locals are living a simple and healthy lifestyle, their land is not suitable for cattle grazing so this is where you will find the largest number of plant-based dishes, leafy greens are part of many local dishes.

The food on the retreat will be mostly plant-based, with some local cheeses and eggs on the side. We prepare health shots, juices, herbal teas and warm drinks. We don’t serve coffee and alcohol but our golden milk, macaccino and matcha will give you the same boost as coffee, while nourishing your body at the same time.

Yoga

Lina will take care of the yoga classes, cacao ceremony and will also bring her singing bowls along. Living in Barcelona and born in Lithuania, she is passionate about life, wellness and living with an open heart.

She strongly believes that through the power of our breath and movement we can transform not just our body but our mind too. She received her 200 hour training in Goa, India and never stopped learning since then.

Some of the highlights being Wellness Education course with Yale University, Music Therapy with Berklee College of Music and continuous trainings and workshops with teachers like Jason Crandell & Katarina Rayburn.

She also holds Reiki Level II Certification. Her classes vary from strong power/ vinyasa/ mandala flows to calmer yin & yang and yoga nidra meditations with magical singing bowls.

How to get there

The nearest airport to Salice Salento is Brindisi, but flying to Bari is also a good option.

We recommend to rent a car, since it’s a lot easier to visit other interesting places and the local beaches. We can hook you up with other guests for car sharing. You can compare the car rental providers at www.autoeurope.com. From Bari it is a 1.5 hour drive along the breathtaking coast and from Brindisi it’s 30 minutes. Of course you can always grab a taxi at the airport.

Booking

We understand your worries about traveling in these days and are trying to make it as easy as possible. If we are going into a full lockdown, you get 100% of your money paid towards the retreat with the same provider back or you can move to a new date in 2022.
