Escape the cold and damp days of winter by joining us on our sunshine, surf, beach yoga holiday in Sri Lanka.

We have been going to Sri Lanka in search of the best sunshine, surf, beach and yoga holiday package for you since 2013. We have explored the whole island and the surrounding area of our yoga holiday location, to make sure we offer you the best balance of yoga, relaxation, adventure, culture and time out just for you.

In Northern hemisphere winters, all you want and need is a beach, an ocean, delicious food, yoga to unwind and great company. We have moved location for 2019 to provide you with just that.

Heading down south, we are right on the beach in our new luxurious accommodation, with beautifully simple and chic rooms Sri Lankan boutique with a private pool and the beach right next door. After morning yoga and a wholesome and healthy breakfast you can surf, dive or relax with the friendly locals on the beach; explore the markets and Buddhist temples. The surf beach is just around the bay, all you need is right where you are.

Surf – We include 1 surf lesson and then if you wish to surf each day you can carry on having lessons or just hire a board and practice in your own time. You will be taken to surf beaches each day if this is what you want. sk us for more info on surf packages.

Schedule

Our schedule is the right balance of activity and relaxation, allowing you to settle in for a few days and then explore the country. You can join in with the group as much or as little as you like.

If you need your own space, then do what you need to in order to make your holiday the best experience it can be. If you feel like a lazy day then stay by the pool in the private gardens of our accommodation or take a wander onto the beach. The holiday is jam-packed with things to do each day so if you like to be busy and really get a feel for Sri Lanka and the local surroundings you can do that to

8am – 9.30am: Yoga with the sun rising under the palms
9.30am: Delicious breakfast with many options suitable for all tastes
10.30am: The day is yours to explore the beach, the surf, the temples, the markets, enjoy excursions, have treatments and more
4.30pm – 6pm: Evening yoga class
7.30pm: 3-course evening meal

Teacher

Amy draws on many yoga styles and fuses it all together! She has a gift for feeling the energies and needs in the group, and shares her learnings and practice based on this. She has the ability to manage all levels, ages, abilities to create a class everyone benefits from. Over your 10 day holiday you can expect 3 hours of yoga a day.

Amy’s style of teaching comes from a place of nurturing. She wants you to feel free to explore the capabilities of your own body, respect your boundaries and learn how to heal and protect it. By blending strong, grounded hatha practises with the freedom found in Scaravelli and vinyasa she believes that each practise can help create the perfect balance between flexibility and stability in both body and mind.

Cuisine

Your retreat includes a wholesome breakfast for nine mornings of western or Sri Lankan style cuisine and eight evenings of delicious Sri Lankan style three course meals.

Accommodation

Your accommodation for your Sri Lanka holiday is beautiful beachfront luxury. On one side you have a gorgeous private pool and the other, the beach and Indian Ocean.

The Rooms

The 12 airy rooms feature local furniture and antique decor, as well as balconies, free Wi-Fi and open-air showers. All have ceiling fans (no air-conditioning), window frames with privacy shutters, and modern 4-poster beds with mosquito nets. Some rooms have ocean views.

There’s a rooftop restaurant and lounge with amazing views of the bay and beyond. Other amenities include a private outdoor pool, bicycles and surfboard rental

Location and how to get there

Flights: The Airport you need to fly into is Bandaranaike International Airport, in Sri Lanka (CMB)

The airlines to look at are:
SriLankan Airlines, Emirates, Qatar airways, Oman air. We use www.skyscanner.net to check the best prices from the UK.

There are direct flights from Heathrow and non-direct flights from Gatwick.

Transfers:
Transfers are included in the price if you arrive in time for our transfer which will be at 5.30pm on 7th Feb 2019. Please email us before you book your flights so we can confirm they are the right ones of our transfer if you wish to join us on the inclusive transfer.

Or alternatively, arrive the day before, have a stopover in or on the beach outside of Colombo and pick up the transfer with everyone else at the allotted time. Lots of people enjoy arriving a day early to give them a chance to overcome the jetlag.

Transfers for the return journey will be arranged to arrive at the airport in Sri Lanka for 7pm on 16th Feb 2019. The recommendation is that you arrive at the airport around 3 hours before your flight, so flights should be booked for around 10pm onwards for a night flight.
