Description

200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Suryalila

Hosted at the beautiful Suryalila retreat centre, this Green Lotus 200hr Yoga Teacher training is taught by Carol Murphy (primary trainer), Dan Morgan (Inversion guru) and Gary O’ Toole (Ayurvedic educator, Vedic astrologer and author of “Cosmic Bodies”) and is registered with Yoga Professionals (aka Yoga Alliance UK) and Yoga Alliance USA.

Together we will take you on a journey of transformation on all levels, mind, body and spirit. Graduates of this program can therefore register with either body at a 200 hours level. If at some point you wanted to continue your studies, you will be able to do it with an American or European training school. Yoga Alliance U.S and U.K are the most recognised Yoga registration body world wide. This certification will qualify you to teach Yoga anywhere in the world.

Suryalila is located close to Seville in Southern Spain. It has 4 yoga spaces, one of which is a large Geodesic dome with an underfloor cooling system. Most of the TTC will be in this dome. Suryalila is a composite of two Sanskrit words. Surya refers to the ancient sun god and lila means cosmic play (of the gods).

Together the words mean “Cosmic Play of the Sun”. The renovated Spanish Pension and olive plantation overlook rolling hills covered in shimmering fields of wheat and golden sunflowers. The two closest airports are Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, both about an hour away.

Course overview

* Develop your asana practice and your understanding of your body through anatomy and
alignment studies.
* Develop your individual teaching voice, as an expression of your true self and learn how to
teach yoga and share the gifts it has to offer safely and confidently.
* Learn how to teach both Vinyasa style Yoga.
* Delve into the depths of subtle anatomy, learn healing meditations, myofascial release and
energy balancing work.
* Learn the gift of meditation.
* Create deeper spiritual understanding in a life-connecting, non-dogmatic way.
* Learn Ayurveda and the holistic aspects of the practice.
* Learn how diet can help your practice, your health and your life.
* Learn the business side of yoga and how to operate as a teacher ethically and effectively.

You can also expect to work hard with the support of a group that wishes to evolve through the path of yoga like yourself. You will be challenged to journey deeper within, to move beyond your self-limiting beliefs and stories that hold you back from moving forward with your intentions and dreams. This is a physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually demanding experience. It is both intense and wonderful. Expect to bend, sweat, ache, collapse, stand up, strengthen, open, cry and giggle. Expect also to move deeper into relationship with the core nature of who you are, to connect with your authentic self and to learn how to spread the teachings of yoga from that place.

What past students have said

”Carol’s yoga teacher training intensive is just that; intensive. It is also a life changing. Carol has a wealth of knowledge and a deep love for the many and varied facets of yoga. Having spent years obtaining this knowledge, it is clear she has a desire to share it. This makes for fascinating insights into the world of yoga both on a practical level with detailed anatomy lectures and on a spiritual/emotional level.” Jo Stephans, Spain TTC Intensive, Suryalila, Spain 2016

“Be prepared for a life changing experience. My training was a very personal journey which has given me the tools to deal with anything life throws at me and the ability to move chaos into order.” Kerry O’ Connor, Yoga Teacher

”What an experience! Carol guided me to break boundaries – both mental and physical. Her teaching voice is compassionate yet authoritative, with the right amount of fun thrown in. She always strives to be “heart-ful” in her teaching…it may very well be the best thing you ever did. For me, it’s definitely up there.” Leah Egan, yoga teacher and actress
