Description

Yoga Alliance 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

Join us for this Yoga Alliance 200 hour Yoga Instructor Certification intensive in Italy! In addition to the extensive training and training manual, enjoy delicious vegetarian Tuscan cuisine (we are sorry but we can’t accommodate vegan & gluten-free on this one, join us on one of our Costa Rica programs for that), luxury accommodations in a restored villa with daily housekeeping, spring water directly from the source for drinking, salt water swimming pools, optional organized group excursions to explore and experience the local culture and concierge assistance planning your travel.

Investing in yourself with a Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification program is a life enriching experience even if you have no intention of teaching.

Our 200 hour teacher training immersion in Tuscany gives you three weeks to focus on your yoga practice with other curious, interesting people from around the world. It is a time for you to enjoy life while learning about the timeless tradition of yoga, it is an opportunity to cultivate true health and happiness while making new, like minded friends.

This Yoga Instructor Certification Program, created and taught by Dr Liz Lindh and approved by the Yoga Alliance, draws from many traditions and emphasizes more than the physical practice of Yoga. We will explore and experience classical Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the importance of ritual, the magic of mantra, philosophy from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, awareness of the subtle energies within and around us, and a deep connection to Nature as our teacher.

Our asana practice is Hatha Vinyasa, Vinyasa meaning the fluid and purposeful integration of breath and movement. You will gain an understanding of proper alignment for over 108 asana, sun salutations for all levels, creative and smart sequencing, core based strength exercises, enhancing postures with hands-on adjustments, how to incorporate music into a class, how to use props and how to work with special population.

Accommodation

We will journey to another Sanctuary in the Chianti region of Tuscany, the heart of the “Golden Triangle” between Senna, Arezzo and Florence; La Selva di Giordano. This magical property, overlooking the gentle slopes of the Arno valley, is a vast 32 acre natural garden of ancient oaks, olive groves, grape vines and overflowing meadows with indigenous wild flora and fauna.

Similar to our beloved Sanctuary in Costa Rica, two flowing streams of water enhance the potent high vibration of the land. The totally restored 17th century farmhouse, two additional smaller villas, a spacious studio specifically for Yoga, four salt water swimming pools and an outdoor amphitheater are peacefully nestled into this healing environment, intertwined as if in symbiosis.

Although the main villa was built more than 300 years ago; the recent restoration has maintained the spirit of the house with respect to the original architecture and use of hand-made and natural materials following bio-architecture parameters. The design and decor are simple and comfortable, with inspiring use of light, art and antiques. The owner is an artist, visionary, florist and arborist who stumbled upon this run-down property while hiking and has passionately and wholeheartedly enlivened it beyond its original beauty.
