Give yourself a well deserved break and join us on our August bank holiday yoga and mediation retreat in Oxfordshire.

After a summer of fun or hard work, August bank holiday is the perfect time to unwind, relax and cleanse body and mind.

Stay in our gorgeous manor house and enjoy the peace that the meditation practices bring to you during the silent walk and in the yoga classes, and feel the body loosen and open up with the asana practices.

Explore the local surroundings and enjoy being in the countryside away from the frenetic pace of life in your day to day. Enjoy a massage from one of our expert in-house therapists or take time to rest and just be.

Situated alongside one of the Oxfordshire canal routes, it is a beautifully serene spot to come and while away the afternoon, meandering along the canal, taking in the countryside and nature at its best. Trading the urban skylines, noise and hustle and bustle for this tranquility.

Feel space to breathe, unwind and release tension and your troubles away. This retreat is suitable for anyone who’d like a weekend away with wellness, healthy food and Yoga. Beginners are welcome as well as all ages.

Accommodation

The rooms at our Manor house retreat are beautifully and newly decorated to a high standard. They are cosy and spacious and have views of the Oxfordshire waterways.

The house has a cosy and welcoming living room with a large spacious yoga room flooded with light and views of the walled garden.

Cuisine

We believe that our retreats should be nurturing in every way. So our Vitality Chefs will create tasty, healthy, vegetarian meals for you from local, seasonal produce.

 

All of our food is gently detoxing and we cater to various dietary preferences. Our guests are always impressed by our creative, flavoursome dishes — that’s because the food is just as important to us as the yoga.

Yoga

Morning Yoga
Revive in the morning with energising yoga in our beautiful yoga space and the day is yours to unwind in the grounds or explore and even take out a canoe! Evening yoga can be outside on the lawn to the dusk light. Feel revitalised this summer weekend and full of energy.

Evening Yoga
Allow us to facilitate a deepening and lightening within you, melting away physical and mental tension. Enjoy a slower class in the evening, with aspects of yin, finishing off with an extended yoga nidra and savasana.

About the teacher

Rebecca is a very experienced Hatha vinyasa yoga teacher with 8 years teaching experience. Her approach is relaxed, fun, fluid and engaging.

She will explain the postures and then lead you into a gentle flow that will be challenging enough but not too much to put you off! Her use of language in the class is encouraging, playful, insightful and knowledgeable.

Retreat schedule

The yoga retreat starts from 4pm on the Friday, which gives you time to settle in before the first yoga class starting at 6pm. Dinner is at 8pm and then the retreat follows the schedule opposite.

Don’t worry if you arrive late on the Friday. We finish at 12pm on the Monday after the usual morning schedule until after breakfast.

8:40am-10:40am: Morning yoga and meditation class
10.40am: Healthy nutritious veggie brunch
11:30 am- 2.30pm: Massage & free time; explore the waterway, go for a walk or try taking out a canoe!
3pm-5:30pm: Healthy light lunch
5:30pm-7:30 pm: More treatments to pamper yourself or free time
7:45pm: Evening yoga and meditation class

We base our prices on 2 or 3 people sharing a room. If you are coming on your own, you are welcome to share a twin room with another guest of the same sex, or if you would prefer your own, there is a £150 single supplement.

Recommended train times from London:
Friday: London Marylebone departs 14.35 arrives Oxford Parkway 15.32
Monday: Departs 12.15 Oxford Parkway arrives London Marylebone 13:18

These are our recommended train times so that we can organise taxi share. If a train is cheaper earlier then book it and you can wait for the taxi share. Booking after means getting your own/sharing another taxi. The retreat is only 4 miles from Oxford Parkway station, so about 10 minutes in a cab.
