Your Teacher

Amy Williams

Amy’s yoga journey began when she least expected it. For years believing the yoga was just for the calm and naturally bendy, she found a teacher that made asana gentle, nurturing and healing; fate was sealed. After becoming a yoga apprentice Amy soon realised that this was what her heart was calling her to do.

After completing her 200hr YTT in Costa Rica, Amy knew she wanted to teach in a way that made yoga accessible to everyone. With a background in working as a massage therapist in both holistic and clinical settings, Amy uses her knowledge of the body and its ranges of movement to ensure that no matter what age or ability arrived on their mat, they could feel confident to practise and her regular classes reflect that with people as young as 20 practising along side people in their 80’s.

Amy has completed trainings in Yin, yoga therapy, chair yoga, sequencing, mindfulness and advanced yoga anatomy over the years, each bringing a different dynamic to the practise.

As a massage therapist she is trained in traditional Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release and reflexology. She also works as an Ayurvedic therapist being able to do various treatments, consultations and has a real passion for yoga’s sister practise.

After completing her training in trauma sensitive yoga, she began using yoga and bodywork in women’s centres and refuges and now stands as a support worker for the Cornwall charity WRSAC.

Amy has worked as massage therapist and yoga teacher in some of Cornwall’s finest hotels, hosted retreats in Cornwall and throughout Europe as well assisted in yoga teacher trainings in Costa Rica. Each experience has taught her something new and she loves that here is sill so much to come.

Amy’s style of teaching comes from a place of nurturing. She wants you to feel free to explore the capabilities of your own body, respect your boundaries and learn how to heal and protect it. By blending strong, grounded hatha practises with the freedom found in Scaravelli and vinyasa she believes that each practise can help create the perfect balance between flexibility and stability in both body and mind.

When Amy is not her mat or around a massage couch she is at home walking the beautiful coastline of Cornwall with her two dogs, planning her next adventure and pretending she is a great surfer.

‘Yoga is called a practice for a good reason. No matter how long you have practising there is always something new to learn and discover – every time you come to your mat you will have a different experience. That, is the beauty of the practice

We are a plant-based company and take great pride in creating incredible food on our retreats. Our chefs create diverse and imaginative menus that really highlight the seasonality of local produce. We are able to cater to all dietary requirements.

On our autumn Cornwall retreats you can expect nourishing post-yoga brunch to fuel your day, a light lunch and a wholesome two-course evening meal.

Hannah Rebecca has been a health seeker and health advocate since 2012. She has been experimenting with different ways of whole food living ever since and loves to share inspiration with anyone who wishes to receive it.

After finding a resolution to a severe long term eating disorder through the power of whole plant-based food, alongside yoga asana, mediation and devotional singing, she has found her soul’s deepest calling to share healthy healing habits in all of the forms she has learnt and continues to study ancient and new healing modalities, especially from the yogic tradition.

Since Hannah’s love for all things health and well being manifested, she has managed three juice bars in Manchester, cooked for health & wellbeing retreats, events and festivals under her business – Healthy Healing Habits, qualified as a yoga teacher and become a devotional/sacred song carrier. Her work has taken her around the U.K, Europe, Asia & North America and continues to find its way to new lands every year.

Shopping as sustainably and locally as possible is one of Hannah’s top priorities and she loves to get experimental when it comes to seasonal herbs and vegetables. Hannah loves to get people excited and inspired about whole food plant-based cooking and expresses that in every dish she serves.
