Description:

Kasbah du Toubkal is a magnificent mountain retreat spectacularly situated in the heart of the High Atlas. Located near the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa, it is only 40 miles (90 minutes) from Marrakech but the peace and quiet and seclusion are so complete the city seems a million miles away.

The Kasbah is set within the Toubkal National Park below the towering flanks of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. It is a place of outstanding natural beauty, peace and seclusion.

As part of the location where Martin Scorsese filmed the movie Kundun about the Dalai Lama’s life, the Kasbah is the ideal location for a yoga and mindfulness retreat.

Equipped for day visits, seminars, residential stays or as a base for more active pursuits. Whatever you choose, the Berber people who staff the Kasbah will give you a warm welcome and a fascinating insight into their culture. Explore the village, nearby hamlets and the surrounding mountain landscape, on foot or by mule, or just put your feet up and relax on the terrace or in the hammam (steam bath).

The Kasbah has numerous terraces for yoga as well as a spacious conference room if an indoor environment is required. Yoga mats, blocks, blanket and belts are available. There are two hammam for the use of guests as well as a massage table and a private massage area for those bringing their own masseuse.

The Kasbah offers healthy and fresh local cuisine, with vegetarian options, and can accommodate special diets if requested. During your stay, all meals are provided.

Our services are tailored to suit you and your students and all quotes are created around your specific requests. We will, of course, help you build a programme and advise you of any extra activities you may wish to include.

Practice yoga at the foot of the highest mountain in North Africa and sip mint tea on the terrace described by Condé Naste Traveller as the best rooftop with views in North Africa and the country’s first and foremost mountain retreat.
